Kristen Souvlis
After being on the development and producing teams for internationally acclaimed series Mako Mermaids, H20: Just Add Water, The Elephant Princess and Vikings: Athelstan’s Journey, Kristen Souvlis is now the Co-CEO at Like A Photon Creative, a multi award-winning production company that specialises in producing outstanding children’s content, including a pre-school series for Disney Junior, 'BALLOON BARNYARD', award-winning segments for SESAME STREET USA’s 45th and 47th Season, and the Tales from Sanctuary City, a world-first feature film multiverse for worldwide cinematic release with Universal Content Group.
She has received three Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts Davey Awards and in 2023, was named as a co-recipient of the Outstanding Entrepreneurial Alumni from the Queensland University of Technology.
Nadine Bates
Nadine Bates is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Like A Photon Creative, an international award-winning production company that specialises in children’s content, including original Disney series, Balloon Barnyard and award-winning segments for Sesame Street USA’s 45th and 47th seasons. In 2020 LAPC delivered three animated feature films in a ground-breaking slate deal with Universal Content Group. LAPC are the only female led/owned animation studio in Australia, producing every frame from their Brisbane offices.
They are currently producing the next three animated features on the Universal slate, along with the independent feature Scarygirl. Named MIPCOM's "Ones to Watch Producer" in 2020, Nadine sits on several industry advisory panels, judges the annual international Emmy awards and is completing her PhD in Children’s Screen Content.
